ROMAN MEATBALLS SUB
A hearty, comforting sub loaded with tender Chicken Roman Meatballs, rich tomato sauce, and gooey melted mozzarella, all tucked into a soft sub roll.

- 18 Theo's Roman chicken meatballs
- 6 soft sub rolls
- 500 ml tomato passata or tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 200 g mozzarella cheese, grated
Cook the chicken meatballs in the oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until is cooked through.
In a saucepan, cook the passata, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened slightly. Stir in the cooked meatballs and coat well.
Slice each sub roll lengthways (without cutting all the way through). Fill with 3 meatballs and a generous spoonful of sauce.
Top with mozzarella and place under a hot grill or in a preheated oven at 180°C for 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
